Mainstage caters for students aged 11-18, with approximately 90 students in the group. Sessions focus on a mixture of dance, drama, and singing. Students also have the opportunity to explore other areas of the arts industry in their time with us.
We meet every Saturday, 10:30-12:30, as well as offering optional additional sessions in dance and singing during the week. In the run-up to shows students are also expected to attend additional weekday evening rehearsals.
Mainstage performs a large-scale musical at Middlesbrough Theatre each November. We also hold an annual showcase and offer additional varied performance opportunities when they are available to us. We pride ourselves on being inclusive, so these typically do not involve additional costs to students.
Our Mainstage fees total £300 per annum, split into three payments of £100. These fees are due at the beginning of each term (terms begin in January, after Easter, and September) and can be spread across two instalments of £50 per term if required.
